Nicholas Todd

Nicholas (Nick) Todd joined Pettit and Company in February of 2023 as an Articled Student after graduating from Thompson Rivers University in 2022 with a Juris Doctor.  Under the mentorship of Tim Pettit and other lawyers at the firm, Nick will be developing a practice in insurance defense, family law and strata law—all of which he is eager to learn.  

During law school, Nick is proud to have led the development of the “Gladue Submissions Assistant”, a legal tech access to justice app which helps criminal defense lawyers prepare Gladue submissions for their Indigenous clients.  On April 29, 2022, Nick and the rest of the Gladue Submissions Assistant team competed in and won the Iron Tech Lawyer Invitational Competition, an international competition showcasing student-led tech solutions to help solve access to justice issues.  The app is now online and can be accessed here.  

Prior to law school, Nick completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Victoria, during which time he worked as the Head Coach of the Langley Flippers Swim Club.
