Caitlin MacDonell

Caitlin MacDonell was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2017 after articling at a large regional law firm. She has practiced in the areas of family law, estate and trust litigation, and insurance litigation. Caitlin's focus is ensuring efficient and effective service to her clients while advocating for their interests. She believes that the best resolution for each client is case-specific, and is experienced in using both litigation and out-of-court processes to serve her clients.

Caitlin has appeared at the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia on a range of issues including family matters, estate and trust litigation matters, and insurance matters. She has trial experience at both levels of court.  

EDUCATION

Caitlin obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia in 2011. She completed her Juris Doctor at Dalhousie University while maintaining a position on the Dean's List for 2013-2015, earning academic awards in the areas of commercial and constitutional law, and completing her final year as a visiting student at the University of British Columbia law school to take courses in province-specific areas of law.

ASSOCIATIONS

Caitlin sits on the Board of the Squamish Access Society, and has held the role of Secretary for the past three years.
