Amanda Groves , Lawyer
Amanda was born and raised in Vancouver.  She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons.) from U.B.C. in 2001.  She graduated from U.B.C. law school in 2004 and was called to the B.C. bar in 2005.  She has called North Vancouver home since 2012.

Since being called to the bar, Amanda has practiced as a civil litigator with a focus on family law and personal injury defence.  During her 15+ years of practice, she has gained extensive experience in a wide variety of family law matters, including divorce settlements, business valuations, marriage and cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, parenting issues, child and spousal support, adoptions and mobility rights.   

She is an experienced and adept trial lawyer, having conducted numerous trials in both the B.C. Supreme and B.C. Provincial Courts.  She has also represented clients in negotiations and mediations to successfully resolve conflicts as efficiently as possible. 

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing at Whistler, backcountry skiing in Squamish, running on the North Shore trails with her two dogs, Murphy and Phoebe, and camping with her husband and young sons in and around the Squamish area.
